Finca - Cortijo

Description

A superb country estate with a house is for sale in the municipality of Alfarnate, in the attractive Axarquía region of Málaga. Just a 3-minute drive from the village of Alfarnate. The property is very well connected, with easy access to the estate for any type of car or motorbike. It is a 55-minute drive from Málaga city centre and the airport (57 km away), as well as a 30-minute drive from the Santa Ana high-speed train station in Antequera (Madrid–Málaga line). It is also a short distance from the charming city of Granada (1 hour and 15 minutes by car). The property is situated in a unique and private setting, with no nearby neighbours, no noise and no houses around it, surrounded by stunning Mediterranean countryside and enjoying excellent, sunny exposure, with sweeping, beautiful views of the countryside, the valley, the mountains and the nearby village of Alfarnate. If you’re looking for a place to unwind from the daily grind and the hustle and bustle of the city, this is the perfect home. Don’t miss out on watching the sunrise, sunset and nightfall whilst gazing up at a starry sky free from light pollution. The property boasts a rich variety of trees, including various native species of trees, shrubs and plants, amongst others: olive trees, almond trees, holm oaks, chaparros and other species. The estate, which is fully fenced around its perimeter and has a separate, stately entrance, is situated on a plot of 27,000 m². Both within the estate and in the surrounding area, you can, if you wish, keep farm animals as well as pets, and go horse riding. The house, with its attractive and distinctive country-style architecture, features a spacious living room with a fireplace and a fully fitted, separate kitchen which is, in turn, open to the main living area. The owner has used high-quality local materials in the construction of the house, both on the exterior façade and throughout the interior, including fine timbers sourced from farmhouses across Andalusia. The natural character of the land and surroundings has been respected as much as possible, with the use of local stone and clay for both exterior and interior floors. The property has three bedrooms, one of which is on the lower floor and features a bathroom with a lovely shower. There is also an annexe to the house, currently used as a storage room. Outside the house, there is a lovely porch and various areas that are ideal and comfortable for enjoying fantastic lunches or dinners with family and friends. The property and the house are connected to the Endesa electricity supply and have drinking water for domestic use, sourced from their own well with a plentiful flow all year round, connected and automated to a water tank. With the possibility of installing solar panels, the property would be entirely eco-friendly and sustainable. The plot’s size of 23,000 square metres, as well as the good, flat land adjacent to the house, means it offers the buyer plenty of scope for various future options, such as installing a prefabricated wooden guest house near the main house, or a project involving wooden houses for a farm school with an ‌organic ‌vegetable ‌garden, ‌or a ‌spiritual retreat and ‌yoga centre. In ‌short, ‌you ‌can ‌enjoy all the comforts of city ‌life, but in ‌a ‌natural, ‌unspoilt, ‌bucolic ‌and ‌healthy ‌environment.
