Detached Villa

Description

Some homes impress through perfection. Others through personality. This villa in Arenas belongs to the latter category. Natural stone, wood, open spaces and sweeping views of the sea and mountains give the property its own distinctive character. Modernised, yet still deeply connected to Andalusian living. The main house is arranged over two floors. On the ground floor, we find the open-plan living, dining and kitchen area. A natural stone wall with an integrated fireplace forms the focal point of the living room, while large glass doors open the space onto the terrace and surrounding landscape. Adjacent to it is the spacious open-plan kitchen, featuring white cabinetry, a large central island and plenty of room for cooking and spending time together. A space designed not only for functionality, but also to naturally become the heart of the home. This floor also offers two bedrooms and a full bathroom. Upstairs, the character of the house changes. Exposed wooden beams and high ceilings create a warm atmosphere, leading to the spacious master bedroom with a dressing area, en-suite bathroom and private balcony. The bathroom deserves special mention, as it is one of those spaces where you simply want to linger a little longer. The freestanding bathtub sits beneath the wooden beams, combining the privacy of this room with views of the surrounding mountain landscape. Additional space is provided by a separate studio apartment with its own bathroom. It is ideal for family and friends, but could also serve as an independent workspace or accommodate guests for longer stays. And then we head outside. Terraces, a garden and several seating and chill-out areas are arranged around the house. At the centre is the private swimming pool, accompanied by sweeping views across the Axarquía countryside all the way to the sea. An outdoor kitchen makes this area even more appealing. Cooking, dining, entertaining friends and spending as little time indoors as possible this is exactly what this space is designed for. The property also includes a garage, storage and utility areas, air conditioning, irrigation water and two water storage tanks. What we particularly love about this home is the combination of features. Modern, open spaces meet natural stone and wooden beams. Spacious family living is complemented by a separate apartment. The swimming pool and outdoor kitchen blend into a ‌landscape ‌that ‌looks ‌different every ‌day. Not a ‌home that ‌needs ‌to ‌fit ‌into a category. But one you ‌can turn into ‌a ‌home ‌that ‌is ‌entirely ‌your ‌own.
