LUXURY VILLA FOR SALE IN MONTE MAYOR, BENAHAVIS Nestled within the gated hillside estate of Monte Mayor, this elegant Andalusian-style villa offers a rare combination of timeless character, complete privacy and sweeping views across the surrounding countryside to the Mediterranean Sea. Set on an elevated plot of almost 3,000 m², the property enjoys a privileged position within this secure natural enclave, where large plots, protected green areas and roaming wildlife create a sense of peace and space rarely found so close to the coast. The villa was originally built in 2008 and has since been significantly upgraded by the current owners, including a beautifully redesigned kitchen and utility room, improved outdoor living areas and carefully curated interiors that enhance the home’s warm and welcoming atmosphere. A HOME FULL OF CHARACTER Accessed through a charming Andalusian courtyard entrance and patio with a fountain, the property immediately sets the tone with traditional architectural details including terracotta floors with wooden inlays, arched windows, pitched wooden ceilings and generous terraces. Recent upgrades include a fully equipped outdoor kitchen and bar, a shower room, additional storage and pump room, plus a relaxed chill-out area currently home to a large day bed. Solar-powered garden lighting enhances the atmosphere in the evenings, creating a peaceful setting for outdoor dining or quiet evenings under the stars. PRIVACY, NATURE & VIEWS The villa enjoys outstanding privacy thanks to its elevated position and the generous plot sizes within Monte Mayor, where the minimum plot size is 2,000 m². From the terraces and many of the interior spaces, the views stretch across rolling green hills and protected valleys towards the Mediterranean Sea. The orientation towards the south and east ensures abundant natural light throughout the day. The surrounding environment is truly special - it is not uncommon to see wild deer roaming through the landscape, reinforcing the estate’s unique connection to nature. LOCATION Despite its tranquil mountain setting, the property is only around 10 minutes from the coast, beaches and supermarkets, while the nearby Marbella Club Golf Resort offers an excellent golf course, clubhouse restaurant and equestrian centre. The Monte Mayor estate itself benefits from 24-hour security and a very well-managed community, making it ideal for both permanent living and a peaceful second home. A RARE ALTERNATIVE TO MODERN 'WHITE BOX' VILLAS In a market increasingly dominated by minimalist contemporary villas, this home offers something far rarer - warmth, authenticity and a genuine sense of place. It is a house that immediately feels like a home. From the moment visitors step through the courtyard entrance, the reaction is almost always the same: “Wow.”
