Description

A Unique Country Retreat near Monda with Moroccan Character and Panoramic Mountain Views Hidden among the beautiful countryside of Orio del Viejo, just outside the charming white village of Monda, this distinctive country home offers much more than a place to live. It is a peaceful retreat with genuine character, created for those who appreciate nature, privacy and an authentic Andalusian lifestyle. Set on approximately 9,000 m² of land, the property enjoys breathtaking views across the Alpujata Valley, framed by no fewer than eleven mountain peaks. Its setting feels wonderfully private and secluded, yet everyday amenities and the coast remain within easy reach. Monda is approximately 8 minutes away, Coín 15 minutes, Marbella 25 minutes and Málaga Airport around 35 minutes by car. The house provides approximately 71 m² of comfortable, single-storey accommodation. Warm Moroccan-inspired architectural details give the interior a distinctive and timeless atmosphere. The inviting layout comprises two bedrooms, a bathroom with shower, a separate washroom, and an open-plan kitchen and living area. Large double sliding doors lead directly onto the terrace, creating a seamless connection between the interior and the surrounding landscape. Outside, the property truly comes into its own. A spacious terrace, private swimming pool, shaded seating areas, a summer dining area and a dedicated meditation room provide everything needed to embrace a slower pace of life. Enjoy breakfast accompanied by birdsong, relax beside the pool or watch the changing light across the mountains as the sun goes down. The home is equipped for comfortable year-round living, with air conditioning in every room, double-glazed uPVC windows, electric security shutters, mains water and mains electricity. Although currently arranged entirely on one level, the structure was designed with the possibility of adding a second storey, offering attractive potential for future expansion. The land is home to approximately 55 olive trees and 10 orange trees. The olive grove is maintained by a caretaker, making it easy to enjoy the rural setting without the full burden of managing the land. There is private parking for up to six vehicles, as well as a double garage with additional storage space. Two caravans situated on the grounds are currently rented and occupied, providing an existing opportunity to generate additional income. The property is reached through a private entrance with a security barrier. There are only six other homes in the immediate surroundings, and just three are permanently occupied. This creates an exceptional sense of peace and privacy without leaving the property completely isolated. This is not a conventional country house. It is a home for someone searching for something genuinely different: a nature lover, a creative ‌spirit, ‌or ‌anyone ‌dreaming of ‌a tranquil Andalusian ‌retreat within ‌easy ‌reach ‌of ‌Marbella, Málaga and the coast.
